Cottonwood School, a non-profit organization, accepts applications for financial aid through the FACTS organization. Financial Aid decisions are based on need, with preference given first to faculty and then to students already enrolled in Cottonwood School. The financial aid program serves as a way of assisting the school in providing socio-economic, racial and cultural diversity in our student body. The school has rarely, provided total tuition assistance to any one student without a work/trade agreement. Rather, we try to help as many families as possible by providing partial assistance whenever possible. Assistance is also limited to the funds available in the scholarship fund which compensates the school for the awards each year.
Cottonwood School uses the FACTS Financial Aide Service to determine eligibility. FACTS provides an objective and consistent method of determining a family's ability to contribute to educational expenses through the parents' information. Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by June 1st each year. Applicants can apply online by clicking the FACTS link below. Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:
- Copies of your most recent Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
- Copies of your most recent W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.
- Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.
All supporting documentation can be uploaded in pdf format online.
