Please check with the classroom teacher for instructions on how to prepare for the class celebration of friendship before you purchase anything. Sometimes the children like to make their own cards in class. And sometimes the teachers tie the celebration into their cultural studies so they will have their own careful way of acknowledging the holiday and celebrating with the class in an age appropriate, secular manner. Whatever they decide, we do have some school wide guidelines to follow:

Please send enough store bought or homemade valentines for the entire class but do not address them or put names on the outside of the envelope.

You or your child should sign the valentine.

No balloons, toys, food, or gifts with the valentines, and PLEASE...

NO CANDY VALENTINES, PLEASE! They will be returned to you or delivered to the Children's Hospital
